AO3 Client Services Officer – Authorisations

Contract: 10 June – 9 December 2026
Extensions: 2 x 6-month extensions possible
Rate:$51.12 per hour + super
Location: Newstead - Hybrid 1-day wfh

We are currently seeking experienced and customer-focused Client Services Officers to join the Authorisations team within the Office of Industrial Relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for workplace health and safety licensing and legislative enquiries
  • Manage high-volume inbound calls professionally and efficiently
  • Provide accurate procedural advice and application status updates
  • Maintain accurate data entry and records management
  • Support information collection, reporting, and enquiry tracking
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders with licensing and procedural matters
  • Contribute positively within a collaborative team environment
  • Meet rostered performance and adherence requirements

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in a contact centre or high-volume customer service environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to interpret and explain legislation, regulations, and procedures clearly
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance
  • Experience using contact centre or licensing systems such as Genesys Cloud
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately

About you:
  • Proven keyboard, data entry, and telephone handling skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn and apply, workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Strong communication skills including interpersonal sensitivity, conflict management, and negotiation abilities
