Receptionist (Maternity Leave Cover) Chandler Macleod are seeking a Receptionist for their client | Casual/Part-Time

Chandler Macleod are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist on behalf of their client. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering a high standard of customer service to both walk-in clients and phone enquiries.

About the Role This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will support daily office operations while maintaining a welcoming and organised front desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for customers in person and over the phone
  • Answer and appropriately direct incoming phone calls
  • Enter jobs and quotes into a job management system (simPRO)
  • Assist customers with shopfront sales of pumps, motors, and spare parts
  • Respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain office filing systems
  • Accurately process supplier invoices and raise purchase orders
  • Perform general administration duties (mail handling, banking/cheque deposits)
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of office areas
About You Personal Attributes
  • Strong communication skills, including reading and comprehension
  • Friendly, cooperative, and able to work well with co-workers
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and changing work environments
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail
  • Strong memory and ability to follow instructions
  • Current Driver’s Licence (desirable)

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative role (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Professional presentation and commitment to workplace standards
Work Schedule This is a maternity leave cover position (November – late March/April) with a structured work schedule:

  • Training Days:
    June & July (specific dates provided during recruitment)

  • Ongoing Schedule:

    • August–October: Every Monday + selected additional days
    • November – March/April: Every Monday & Thursday
    • Christmas shutdown period: To be confirmed
