Chandler Macleod are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist on behalf of their client. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering a high standard of customer service to both walk-in clients and phone enquiries.
About the Role This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will support daily office operations while maintaining a welcoming and organised front desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for customers in person and over the phone
- Answer and appropriately direct incoming phone calls
- Enter jobs and quotes into a job management system (simPRO)
- Assist customers with shopfront sales of pumps, motors, and spare parts
- Respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain office filing systems
- Accurately process supplier invoices and raise purchase orders
- Perform general administration duties (mail handling, banking/cheque deposits)
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of office areas
- Strong communication skills, including reading and comprehension
- Friendly, cooperative, and able to work well with co-workers
- Ability to adapt to new technology and changing work environments
- High level of concentration and attention to detail
- Strong memory and ability to follow instructions
- Current Driver’s Licence (desirable)
- Enjoy data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service focus with a willingness to go above and beyond
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and directives
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role (preferred)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Professional presentation and commitment to workplace standards
- Training Days:
June & July (specific dates provided during recruitment) - Ongoing Schedule:
- August–October: Every Monday + selected additional days
- November – March/April: Every Monday & Thursday
