We are currently seeking an experienced, proactive Admin assistant to join our clients team on a temporary contract. This role provides high‑level administrative and coordination support to the Business Unit Manager, helping keep the business running smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role
As the admin assistant you will play a central part in the day‑to‑day operations of the Business Unit. You’ll oversee administrative functions, support leadership coordination, and ensure information flows smoothly within the team and to key internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Proactively coordinate and deliver administration support across the Business Unit, including correspondence, ministerial activities, scheduling, and diary management
- Investigate issues, engage with customers when required, and document findings
- Guide and influence administrative workflows, delegate tasks, and provide input into performance agreements
- Provide reporting and updates to leaders and stakeholders
- Lead and develop the administration function, ensuring consistent knowledge sharing of Corporate and Group requirements
- Liaise and coordinate information with both internal and external stakeholders, committees, and business partners
- Substantial administrative and coordination experience in a similar role within a large, state‑wide, multifunctional organisation
- Working knowledge of corporate systems (SAP highly desirable)
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction
