About the Company
Our client is a respected government department dedicated to delivering essential community and disability support services. Our organisation values inclusion, transparency, and community wellbeing, working to improve lives through effective and compassionate planning.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced ASO6 or ASO7 level Workforce Planning Officer to join an important project aimed at workforce planning and rostering for disability services. This role is a 4-6 month contract with an ASAP start, perfect for someone who has hands-on experience completing similar projects quickly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for developing rosters that cover all support conditions and break periods across multiple residences, ensuring compliance with relevant awards and support needs. The role offers a flexible start time and hybrid working options after an initial onsite onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement rosters for disability support staff in independent living residences.
- Ensure rosters provide full coverage, accounting for all conditions, meal breaks, and rest periods.
- Utilise UKG Workforce Pro or comparable systems to manage workforce planning effectively.
- Work closely with team members to refine rostering processes and optimise staffing levels.
- Assist with training and support for team members on workforce management tools and procedures.
- Ensure all rostering complies with the SCHADS award and relevant conditions.
- Support project delivery by completing tasks accurately and swiftly, with a focus on immediate needs.
- Proven experience in completing similar workforce rostering projects, ideally in government or community sectors.
- Familiar with planning for support services, covering all conditions including breaks.
- Experience with UKG Workforce Pro or similar rostering software.
- Strong organisational skills to manage complex rosters efficiently and effectively.
- Confidence in delivering training and working collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with instant start availability.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Able to work onsite initially with flexibility for hybrid working (2 days in CBD office, 3 days remote).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a critical government project with an immediate start. Your experience in fast-paced, similar rostering projects will be highly valued, and you’ll be making a difference in community support services. Enjoy a supportive team environment, flexible working arrangements, and the satisfaction of delivering meaningful outcomes.
