About the Role
If you're a WHS Officer looking to step into a more advanced safety role, this is a great opportunity. You'll be involved in:
- Monitor and support compliance with workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and prepare clear, accurate reports.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of WHS policies and safety initiatives.
- Provide WHS guidance and support to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Coordinate safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate WHS records, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Ensure corrective actions are completed to address identified hazards and incidents.
- Support and promote a proactive, safety‑focused culture across the workforce.
About You
You're a WHS Officer looking to step up into a more advanced safety role. You’ll bring:
- Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation, standards, and best‑practice safety principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and effective problem‑solving skills.
- Confident communication and strong interpersonal capabilities.
- Experience conducting WHS investigations and preparing clear reports.
- A background in workplace inspections, audits, and risk management activities.
- The ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and WHS reporting systems.
- Previous experience in a WHS or safety‑focused position (highly regarded).
