We are currently seeking a reliable, physically fit, and detail-focused Cold Storage Labourer to join our team in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in Truganina. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with frozen meat products in cold conditions.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
About the Role Working in a temperature-controlled environment (approx.2 to -3°C), you will play a key role in ensuring products are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities Product Handling
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods correctly
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for dispatch
- Maintain product quality and safety standards
- Safely operate pallet jacks, tuggers and warehouse equipment
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report issues
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and cold storage protocols
- Use PPE appropriately and maintain hygiene standards
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free
- Assist with general maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily targets
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit with the ability to repetitively lift 20kg+ cartons
- Comfortable working in cold conditions (between 2 & -3°C)
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Numeracy and communication skills
- Experience in warehousing or cold storage (advantageous but not essential)
- Familiarity with RF scanners (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 20+kg regularly
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing manual tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments (2°C to -3°C)
- Must be able to pass a police check
