Underground Shift Electrician About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Underground Shift Electrician to join their underground operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient mining operations across shift.

You will work as part of a site‑based maintenance team, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and supporting production targets while maintaining a strong safety focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs on underground mining equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns and fault‑finding across fixed and mobile plant
  • Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with site safety and statutory requirements
  • Accurately complete maintenance reports and shift handovers
  • Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams
About You
  • Australian recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Underground mining experience essential
  • Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Sound knowledge of underground electrical systems and site safety standards
  • Ability to work autonomously on shift
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Mandatory Requirements
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
  • WA Electrical Licence
  • Current First Aid
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
Desirable
  • Previous experience on underground mobile plant or fixed plant
  • HV switching or additional site‑based tickets
