Specialist, AI and Automation

Chandler Macleod are looking to appoint an experineced AI Specialist to work with our Tier 1 mining client in their Perth city offices on Mon-Fri roster for an initial 12 month contract and very attractive remunneration offered.

The Role: Supports the design, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of AI and automation solutions across the division, enhancing efficiency, consistency, and decision‑making within business processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilites:
  • Delivery of Fit‑for‑Purpose AI and Automation Solutions:
    Design, deliver, and evolve AI and automation solutions aligned to the division’s strategic objectives, operating model, and business priorities.
  • Support AI and Automation Capability Management:
    Assist in developing, improving, and maintaining AI tools, agents, and automation workflows, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards and governance.
  • Support Adoption and Digital Literacy Enablement:
    Support the rollout and adoption of AI and automation solutions through user enablement, training, guidance, and digital literacy uplift, ensuring tools are effectively embedded into day‑to‑day ways of working.
  • Contribute to AI Governance and Responsible Use:
    Support the development and application of governance, standards, and controls to ensure AI and automation solutions are used responsibly, securely, and consistently across the division.
  • Assist with Strategic Initiatives and Change Management:
    Support the delivery of AI‑enabled strategic initiatives, including change management activities, communication, training, and coaching to drive sustained adoption and value realisation.
  • Provide AI and Automation Delivery Support:
    Contribute to projects and strategic programs by identifying automation opportunities, developing solutions, and supporting implementation to improve efficiency, consistency, and decision‑making.
  • Evaluate and Improve AI Solutions:
    Assist in evaluating the performance and effectiveness of AI and automation solutions, capturing user feedback and insights to inform continuous improvement and optimisation.
  • Maintain Stakeholder Relationships:
    Support the maintenance and fostering of strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, encourage collaboration, and support ongoing improvement and adoption.
  • Business Improvement:
    Apply business improvement methodologies and problem‑solving skills to identify, prioritise, and deliver AI and automation opportunities that improve processes, workflows, and outcomes

Your capabilities and experinece:
  • AI and Automation Capability: Understanding of AI and automation concepts and experience in designing, building, and supporting AI tools, agents, and automation workflows to improve business processes and decision‑making.
  • Digital Governance and Controls: Familiarity with digital, data, and AI governance principles, including responsible use, risk management, security, and alignment with enterprise standards..
  • Stakeholder engagement: strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Team collaboration: ability to support project controls and reporting teams effectively
  • Analytical and Technical skills: Ability to identify automation opportunities, analyse business processes, evaluate solution performance, and apply a practical understanding of digital systems and data.

Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Australia and currently residing in Perth metro area as the role is city based.
