Maintenance Scheduler – Shutdown | 13-Week Program | FIFO 8:6 from Perth | Rate $75.00 - $87.00
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler
to support a 13-week shutdown program
with a major mining operator. This role will operate on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, WA
and requires strong experience using Prometheus scheduling software.
This is a great opportunity for a scheduler who thrives in shutdown environments and enjoys delivering structured, well-planned maintenance schedules that support safe and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed shutdown schedules for a 13-week maintenance program
- Build and manage schedules using Prometheus scheduling software
- Identify critical path activities and ensure schedules are aligned with resource availability
- Forecast labour, equipment, and contractor requirements to support shutdown execution
- Coordinate with supply teams to ensure materials and components are available for scheduled work
- Liaise with maintenance, planning, reliability and operations teams to ensure alignment
- Identify schedule risks, constraints and improvement opportunities
- Support shutdown readiness by preparing schedules and planning documentation
- Ensure all activities align with site safety and compliance standards
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance scheduling within mining or heavy industry
- Strong working knowledge of Prometheus scheduling software (essential)
- Experience supporting major shutdown or outage programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
- 13-week shutdown contract with a leading mining operator
- FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster
