About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of a diverse portfolio of physical asset and capital works projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from early concept and definition through to construction-ready investment decisions and delivery, supporting our clients port asset investment program.

Working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines, you will provide end-to-end project leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with strategic, financial, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Provide core project leadership, management, development, and delivery services for a portfolio or program of physical asset projects.
  • Contribute to project planning, identification, selection, and prioritisation activities across the asset investment lifecycle.
  • Liaise closely with Study Managers, Planners, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure feasibility and definition requirements are met, and lead execution through to successful delivery.
  • Define project opportunities or issues, including scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing management of the Asset Investment Program in collaboration with the Manager Asset Development and Delivery.
  • Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, including business case development, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO frameworks, contract management systems, corporate policies, and all statutory requirements, with a strong focus on safety and environmental protection.
  • Manage capital investment, including preparing budget proposals, monitoring expenditure, and recommending budget adjustments as required.
  • Lead and motivate high-performing project teams and manage external consultants and contractors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Project Management (or a related discipline).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ proven senior-level project management experience, with exposure to all stages of the project management lifecycle.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working with business stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary or cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects and programs on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Strong contract management experience, including superintendency experience with AS4000 and bespoke construction and works contracts.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams.
  • High level of technical competency with project and business software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
  • Significant hands-on experience with project planning and scheduling tools, with a solid track record of practical application.
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor and contractor agreements.
What We Offer
  • The opportunity to work on complex, high‑value infrastructure and asset projects of strategic importance.
  • A collaborative and professional working environment.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits aligned with experience.
  • A role that supports long-term asset stewardship and sustainable development outcomes.
How to Apply
