About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Service Technician / Field Service Technician to join their site‑based service team in Newman, WA. This is a residential position supporting the maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment across site operations.
The role operates on 12‑hour day shifts and suits a hands‑on technician who enjoys working in a field‑based environment with strong safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and fault‑finding on equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance and breakdown response
- Install, test and commission equipment as required
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Liaise with site stakeholders and provide professional customer support
- Work in line with site safety procedures and company policies
- Trade qualification or strong technical background (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar)
- Previous experience in a service technician or field service role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a site‑based environment
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Able to commit to a residential Newman role and 12‑hour day shifts
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia are required
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
- HR driver’s licence highly regarded
