Risk Analyst – Contingent

AGL Energy | Melbourne (Flexible) | Start ASAP

AGL is seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to join their team on a contingent basis, covering a period of long-term personal leave. This opportunity for a risk professional to step in and make an immediate impact across a portfolio of active projects.
While the role is based in Melbourne, flexible working arrangements are available 3/2 office/home.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will support multiple projects—many within the construction phase—by maintaining and actively managing project risk information within AGL’s risk systems. You will work closely with Project Managers and act as a project risk SME, ensuring risks are clearly identified, assessed, actioned, and reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Risk Management System across all assigned projects
• Manage and administer Tier 4 project risks
• Own and maintain project risk registers, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Facilitate and manage monthly risk workshops, including live updates to risk registers
• Work collaboratively with Project Managers to identify causes, consequences, and effective risk treatments
• Provide subject matter expertise on project risk processes, controls, and reporting
• Ensure risk data is current, auditable, and aligned with governance requirements
• Support a portfolio of projects, many within construction environments

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in risk management, ideally within projects or construction
• Strong understanding of risk within structured systems
• Experience using Persiscope (or similar enterprise risk management systems) is useful
• Confident facilitating risk discussions and workshops with diverse stakeholders
• Highly systems savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable in an admin-heavy, delivery-focused role
• Practical, proactive, and able to hit the ground running
