Rate:$55.16 per hour + Superannuation (PAYG)

Our client is seeking a Qualified Electrician to support construction, maintenance, repair and modification works on intelligent traffic systems (ITS) and tunnel power and life safety equipment. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering excellent hourly rates and stability.

Signalling experience is highly desirable, however, candidates with strong electrical backgrounds who are willing to be trained are encouraged to apply.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and functional testing of intelligent traffic systems and associated equipment in line with maintenance checklists
  • Diagnose and repair faults and accident damage to ensure uninterrupted operation of traffic control systems at intersections, open roads and through tunnels
  • Deliver complex ITS maintenance and project works, ensuring high technical and safety standards
  • Undertake programmed works to meet client specifications and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Lead and supervise staff and subcontractors on site, ensuring works are completed safely and on schedule
  • Carry out minor construction or reconstruction works on intelligent traffic systems and tunnel power and life safety equipment in accordance with specifications and standards
Essential Requirements
  • Current Qualified Electrical Contractor Licence or Qualified Electrical Supervisor Certificate
  • Current and valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including rostered callouts
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 emergency response roster, including unplanned overtime and occasional travel away from home
