About the Role
Our client is seeking a QA Officer to support both the planning and execution phases of a large-scale coal-fired power station overhaul. The role begins with documentation development, ITP creation, and workpack preparation, followed by site-based inspection and QA oversight during execution. You’ll take over from an outgoing resource and ensure a seamless transition into the production and execution phase.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and update ITPs, workpacks, flange management documentation, and checksheets.
- Review contractor QA documentation and ensure compliance prior to execution.
- Maintain workpack registers, equipment photos, and all supporting documents.
- Conduct field inspections, audits, walkdowns, and NCR/punchlist management during execution.
- Liaise with turbine, bulk overhaul, and instrumentation contractors to maintain QA standards.
- Manage quality documentation via Excel, SMS, Trim, and SAP.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in QA within power generation, ideally coal‑fired plant environments.
- Strong skills in planning-phase QA: ITP development, document control, workpack creation.
- Ability to operate across multiple technical disciplines beyond your core trade/engineering background.
- SAP experience highly desirable; strong Excel and system literacy required.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Availability for site-based planning (Mon–Fri) and 12‑hour days during execution (Mon–Sat).
