About the Role

Join a major WA Government organisation as a Purchasing Officer / Procurement Specialist, providing end‑to‑end procurement support across multiple business units. This role focuses on purchasing, supplier management, and SAP‑based procurement processes within an engineering‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify shopping carts and review robotic purchase orders
• Source quotes, solicit bids, and ensure value‑for‑money procurement
• Manage purchase order changes and maintain accurate records
• Identify and manage preferred suppliers
• Conduct supplier and contract performance reviews
• Liaise with manufacturers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate data in SRM e‑procurement and SAP MM
• Monitor purchasing data and recommend system improvements

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years’ experience as a Purchasing Officer or Procurement Specialist
• Procurement experience in a large engineering‑focused organisation
• Strong supplier/contractor evaluation skills
• Proficiency in SAP MM, SRM, and procurement systems
• Knowledge of procurement theory and regulatory requirements
