Team: Asset Health & Technology – Systems Engineering

About the Role
We are seeking a systems‑savvy Project Systems Engineer with 2–3 years’ mining experience, ideally with exposure to HME, trucks, diggers, drill rigs, asset health or vehicle safety systems. This role suits someone early in their career who brings strong technical foundations and a continuous improvement mindset, and who is open to being mentored and “moulded” within an experienced team.

You’ll support the design, development and deployment of technology solutions across our Tier 1 Mining Client's mobile equipment fleet, working closely with internal stakeholders and OEM partners to ensure systems integrate effectively and meet operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development and implementation of mobile equipment technology and operational technology systems.
  • Contribute to solutions across autonomous equipment, industrial control platforms, interfaces, and OT environments.
  • Participate in scoping, systems design, OEM engagement, testing, and deployment of new systems and applications.
  • Work with cross‑disciplinary engineering teams to evaluate new technologies and progress them through implementation.
What We're Looking For
  • 2–3 years’ experience in the mining sector with exposure to HME, asset health, automation, or vehicle safety technologies.
  • Background in mechatronics, auto-electrical engineering, computer science or similar.
  • Relevant Engineering Degree
  • Interest in PLC systems, coding, or controls engineering (not a trades/technician background).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and firmware.
  • Solid understanding of industrial control systems, OT environments, and system interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a technical, safety‑focused environment.
  • Willingness to commit to the role for 2–3 years or longer.
