Project Specialist / Project Manager – Collie Region
Location:
Near Collie – Bunbury / Australind and surrounds
Contract:
12 months (or project duration)
Roster:
4 days/week (10 hrs/day) or 9-day fortnight

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Project Specialist / Project Manager
to lead critical mechanical, electrical, and technical projects within a live operating alumina refinery environment.
This role is ideal for a mid-level to senior project professional who can work independently, manage stakeholders, and deliver projects from concept to completion
in a brownfields, operational plant setting.
Please note:
This is NOT a greenfield construction role. Applications from candidates with only mine-site or commercial construction experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver mechanical, electrical, and technical projects from concept to closeout within a live operational refinery environment
- Act as single point of project leadership to deliver projects to approved scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide safety leadership throughout the project lifecycle, aligned with organisational values
- Identify, assess, and manage project design and execution risks
- Manage project cost, schedules, and change management in accordance with organisational frameworks
- Prepare and communicate regular project reports to stakeholders and leadership
- Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and consultants
- Manage your own purchase orders, requisitions, and project administration
- Project management qualification required; engineering or technical trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Process) highly desirable
- Several years’ experience delivering projects of varying complexity ($500k–$5M) through the full project lifecycle within a brownfields resources or processing plant environment
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams independently
- Experience working within live operational sites
