Program Management, Service and Support – 12-Month Assignment
Location: Adelaide, SA
Security Clearance: Minimum NV1
About the Role
This 12-month assignment provides program management support to a high-profile defence program. The role will contribute to the development and implementation of program governance and planning capabilities, working collaboratively with internal personnel and external stakeholders to deliver critical program outcomes.
About the Team
The team is responsible for program governance, planning, and reporting activities across the program. It engages with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including national and bilateral/trilateral governance forums, to ensure mature and efficient program management practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development of robust program governance and planning capabilities.
- Implement fit-for-purpose program governance, planning, and reporting frameworks.
- Develop and maintain a detailed reference library of program information to support governance activities.
- Establish program governance and planning schedules (drumbeats) to support branch activities.
- Support mature program planning and controls capability, including scheduling, cost and risk management, and development of 3-point estimates to inform decision-making.
- Represent the program in integration activities across national and bilateral/trilateral governance forums.
- Prepare senior leadership briefing packs for governance forums and stakeholders.
- Deliver additional duties as directed.
You Must Have
- Proven experience in program governance, program planning, and reporting within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in scheduling, cost management, risk management, and decision-support processes.
- Ability to develop high-quality briefing materials for senior leadership and governance forums.
- Eligible for or holding at least NV1 security clearance.
Desirable
- Experience in defence or high-security program environments.
- Familiarity with mature program controls frameworks and governance practices.
- Experience coordinating across multiple national and international stakeholders.
