About the Role
You will be working within a production environment; welding and fabricating steel components used in locally manufactured heating and fireplace products. This role suits welders who enjoy structured, repeatable work rather than site‑based or project welding.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and sheet metal
- Fabrication of components using jigs, fixtures, and production drawings
- Welding assemblies such as frames, fireboxes, housings, and surrounds
- Grinding, finishing, and basic quality checks of welded components
- Working to production targets and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe workstation in line with WHS requirements
Roster / Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:50pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 11:50am
- Early finish every Friday
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Welder or Fabricator in a manufacturing or production environment
- Confidence with MIG welding(TIG advantageous)
- Ability to read basic drawings or follow work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused
- Able to perform manual handling and repetitive factory tasks
