About the Role
As Production Manager, you will be accountable for achieving production targets, leading and mentoring teams, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements. You will work closely with supervisors, team leaders, and senior shift supervisors to deliver efficient and consistent production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily production activities across the primary plant
- Achieve productivity targets in line with KPIs
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, food safety (HACCP/GMP), and environmental systems
- Lead, coach, and support supervisors, team leaders, and production staff
- Monitor staffing levels and production performance
- Complete and review daily and weekly reports, including yield, waste, and payroll
- Promote a positive and cooperative workplace culture
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You will be a confident leader with strong decision‑making skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and performance.
Essential requirements:
- HACCP or food handling training
- Australian citizen or permanent resident (with full working rights)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to meet production targets in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable experience:
- Previous production or operations management experience
- Experience training and assessing staff
- Management or leadership training
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
