Join a high‑performing Financial Accounting team within a large South Australian Government shared services environment, supporting a diverse range of government agencies.

This is a senior, hands‑on role for an experienced accountant who thrives on complex financial reporting, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Your Impact
  • Lead the preparation of complex financial statements(GPFS & SPFS)
  • Manage audit liaison, working papers, and senior briefings
  • Oversee general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and payroll interfaces
  • Provide trusted financial and accounting advice to internal teams and client agencies
  • Guide and motivate staff to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and service level agreements
About You
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar
  • CA or CPA certified
  • Proven experience preparing complex financial statements
  • Strong leadership capability with a collaborative, client‑focused approach
  • Advanced experience with financial systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Masterpiece) and Excel
  • Confident communicator with stakeholders including audit bodies
  • Highly organised, resilient, and deadline‑driven
  • Strong understanding of public sector governance, risk, and compliance
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management
