Payroll Systems Specialist – 6 Month Contract (Hybrid)

A major mining and resources employer is seeking a Payroll Systems Specialist to support a large payroll remediation and optimisation project following the implementation of ADP GlobalView. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical payroll knowledge who enjoys fixing configuration issues, improving system accuracy, and stabilising payroll operations.

The Opportunity
You will work with the payroll and HR teams to clean up, reconfigure and optimise the payroll environment for a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees. This includes reviewing pay codes, validating calculations, resolving mapping issues, and preparing the business for Pay Day Super.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Review, rationalise and correct 300+ pay codes (Super, STP, Payroll Tax classifications)
• Analyse and fix OTE configuration and support implementation of Pay Day Super
• Investigate, map and resolve payroll calculation issues and system defects
• Support backend system configuration changes, testing and validation
• Review and enhance payroll processes, controls and documentation
• Work closely with payroll, HR, finance, and technical teams to stabilise payroll accuracy
• Contribute to system optimisation following ADP GlobalView implementation

About You

• Strong background as a Payroll Manager, Payroll Consultant or Payroll Systems Analyst
• Experience in payroll system implementation, remediation or optimisation
• Exposure to ADP GlobalView, ADP Payforce, SAP, Dayforce, Oracle or similar systems
• Excellent understanding of superannuation, STP, payroll tax and award/EBA rules
• Strong analytical capability and confidence troubleshooting complex payroll issues
