Are you a detail-oriented healthcare professional with a passion for safety and fair assessment? We are seeking a highly competent Medical Review Officer to review complex medical cases, make accurate fitness-to-drive decisions, and coordinate essential appointments. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to public safety on a flexible, short-term basis while earning a competitive pay rate.
What You Will Do:
- Review and resolve medical cases efficiently, ensuring decisions comply with legal and organizational policies.
- Analyze complex health information and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
- Coordinate on-road driving test appointments across Victoria, supporting remote teams with logistics, interpreter services, and accommodations.
- Maintain precise records of all bookings and test outcomes.
- Draft clear and professional correspondence for customers and internal teams.
- Identify and suggest improvements to processes to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Support implementation of process changes to improve overall operations.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills for complex health data
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure
- High attention to detail and organizational prowess
- Effective coordination and scheduling skills
- Proficient with relevant systems and record-keeping tools
- Experience in medical review or healthcare assessment
- Knowledge of transportation or medical legislation
- Bilingual capabilities or experience working with interpreters
- Familiarity with remote team coordination and scheduling tools
- Healthcare qualification or equivalent experience in medical review or assessment
- Previous experience in medical case review highly advantageous
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel within Victoria for on-road testing coordination
