Chandler Macleod is recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor on behalf of our client. This role is suited to a strong people leader who can support teams, manage day‑to‑day operations, and ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Departmental Supervision
- Support, coordinate, and supervise Technicians, Tradespersons, and Apprentices
- Assist the Tier 3 Manager in communicating company policies, procedures, values, and expectations
- Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to ensure teams meet role and performance expectations
- Coordinate team meetings and address employee concerns
- Manage absence notifications and provide input into performance reviews
- Review, approve, and maintain accurate labour scheduling in simPRO
- Plan and coordinate daily labour, work tasks, materials, plant, and subcontractors
- Forward plan departmental resourcing with the Department Manager
- Coordinate project, job, and site meetings
- Liaise with the WHS&E Advisor to manage safety and compliance requirements
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of company and client assets
- Oversee procurement, material ordering, and project documentation
- Maintain safety responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure sites and facilities are kept to required standards
