What You Will Do:
- Create and maintain materials within ERP systems like SAP and Sphera SparesFinder, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Gather, interpret, and efficiently process large volumes of materials and inventory data.
- Support maintenance teams to accurately identify materials in Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintenance task lists.
- Enhance data quality, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve purchasing efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and maintenance teams to ensure materials are correctly cataloged and aligned with operational needs.
- Support project milestones by developing data standards, templates, and training materials.
- Liaise with global data management teams to uphold SAP master data governance.
- Mentor team members on cataloguing best practices, fostering continuous improvement.
- Strong proficiency in SAP ECC for navigation and data entry.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail when managing large datasets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
- Experience in inventory or materials management within mining or heavy industry sectors.
- Knowledge of material standards, specifications, and plant equipment used in mining.
- Familiarity with ERP system optimization and bulk data uploads.
- Understanding of vendor relationships and procurement processes.
- Exposure to Sphera SparesFinder or similar cataloguing systems.
- Qualification in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related fields (e.g., APICS certification).
- Prior experience in inventory control, procurement, or maintenance in a mining or industrial environment is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with SAP (ECC), Sphera SparesFinder, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to operational sites if required.
