Join Our Team as a Light Equipment Maintenance Specialist and Keep Our Fleet Running Smoothly!
Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician with a passion for maintaining a diverse range of equipment? We are seeking a dedicated Light Equipment Maintenance professional to support our operations at Tom Price. This role offers the opportunity to work on over 700 pieces of equipment, including trucks, loaders, and specialty machinery. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at working independently, and possess a strong troubleshooting ability, we want to hear from you! Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and efficiency of our operations in a dynamic mining environment.
Required Skills:
- Australian Trade Certificate – Diesel Mechanic or equivalent (Heavy Highway, etc.)
- Proven experience working on trucks such as Hilux, M.A.N, Isuzu, Volvo, Scania
- Ability to work independently and efficiently troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience working on mine sites (preferred)
- At least 5 years post-trade experience
- Valid Driver’s License (HR)
- Electrical troubleshooting skills, including sensors and wiring
- Good command of English communication
- Willingness to work on any type of equipment
- Current Air Conditioning Ticket
- Experience with Liebherr Cranes
- Vehicle Loading Crane maintenance (HiAb, Palfinger, Kevrex)
- HRWL certification for Forklift operation (e.g., Dogging, Rigging)
- Additional experience in electrical systems or advanced diagnostics
- Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working independently in a heavy equipment maintenance setting
- Prior exposure to mining or remote industrial sites
- Willingness to operate across various equipment and work sites
- Adherence to all safety and work-related procedures
- Flexibility to undertake troubleshooting on electric and hydraulic systems
