Laundry Assistant

We are seeking dedicated Laundry Assistants to join our growing team, working with a leading workwear and linen laundry service based in Footscray.
This role involves working with industrial washing machines and dryers, handling primarily uniforms and linen.

Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm and/or 6am- 2pm
Saturday OT 
$30-$31 per hour 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely handle and transport 100kg+ laundry loads using an overhead pulley system 
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive overhead reaching and pushing/pulling heavy loads
• Loading and operating industrial washing machines and dryers
• Entering weight of garments into a computerised system
• Folding uniforms and linen with precision
• Maintaining a clean and organised work space
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues
• Working as part of a team to ensure an effective work environment 

Requirements:

• Physically fit to handle the demands of the job- Lifting up to 25KG
• Previous experience as a Laundry Assistant preferred
• Reliable and punctual
• Working 38 hours per week + OT
