Hospital Manager

Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for a passionate and people-focused Hospital Manager to help lead a busy and caring veterinary hospital based in Canberra. 

This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who values teamwork, support, and culture just as much as operational excellence. As Hospital Manager, you’ll help create a safe, positive, and well‑organised environment where people feel supported, patients receive exceptional care, and the hospital runs smoothly day in and day out.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the day-to-day flow of patients and hospital operations
• Overseeing rosters and helping cover shifts when the unexpected happens
• Ensuring teams are supported, resourced, and working together effectively
• Making sure patients receive the highest standard of compassionate care
• Helping improve systems, processes, and protocols
• Managing stock, equipment, and supplies so teams can do their best work
• Building strong, trusted relationships with suppliers and team leaders
• Encouraging collaboration, training, and cross-department support
• Keeping the hospital clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone

• Qualified Veterinarian or Veterinary Nurse
• A strong background in customer service and people leadership
• Someone who genuinely cares about team wellbeing and culture
• Calm and confident under pressure
