Are you an experienced facilities and asset management professional with a passion for sustainability? This is a unique opportunity to lead a high‑performing team and deliver impactful environmental and corporate sustainability initiatives within a major Victorian Government organisation.
About the Role
Working within a forward‑thinking Corporate Services Division, you will lead a team responsible for providing safe, secure and fit‑for‑purpose facilities and fleet assets across multiple sites. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys engaging with senior stakeholders, and is motivated by contributing to organisational excellence and environmental outcomes.
You will also play a key role in delivering sustainability initiatives aligned to ESG priorities and Victorian climate action targets, helping to shape an organisation focused on preventing harm from pollution and waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team to deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused facilities and fleet management services.
- Oversee accommodation and service delivery provided by third‑party providers, ensuring value for money and compliance with service standards.
- Manage all facilities and fleet operations across multiple sites, including OH&S requirements and laboratory maintenance.
- Oversee fleet procurement, maintenance, disposal and fuel card management.
- Manage infrastructure and fleet budgets, including compliance with Victorian Purchasing Board guidelines.
- Lead sustainability initiatives aligned with ESG commitments and Net Zero targets, including reporting to GRI and ISSB standards.
- Embed sustainable and resilient operational practices across the organisation.
- Support annual reporting and compliance obligations.
- Represent the organisation positively with external stakeholders and community groups.
You will bring:
- Senior-level experience in facilities, asset management and/or sustainability leadership.
- Strong understanding of environmental reporting frameworks and ESG standards.
- Experience working in a complex or government environment.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with a proven ability to build capability and high-performance teams.
- Strong project, budget and resource management skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
