Fabrication Operator

We are seeking applications from experienced Fabrication Operators for a casual assignment with our defence client based in Osborne. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile defence project, with an immediate start and contract running until December 2026.

The ideal candidate will come from a defence or heavy industrial background, with strong experience in fabrication and welding, along with a positive and hard-working attitude.

Essential Requirements:

• National police clearance issued within the last 3 months
• Confined Space ticket refreshed within the last 2 years
• Fabrication and installation experience in a defence/heavy industrial environment
• Experience in welding and joining
• Knowledge of precision machining and competency with hand tools (e.g., grinders)
• Australian citizen
• Own vehicle and current driver’s license

Desirable:

• Scaffolding, rigging, forklift, and working at heights tickets (advantageous but not essential)
• Competence in the use of hand tools such as grinders
• Basic computer operating skills

Applicants will be required to submit an application for the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identification Card (NSSIC) following a successful interview. Current holders of an NSSIC will be strongly regarded.
