A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Executive Assistant to support a high‑performing Executive Office within a local government organisation. This is a temporary full‑time assignment providing high‑level administrative and executive support to the CEO and Mayor-equivalent leadership stakeholders.
We are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage competing priorities, and is confident handling confidential and sensitive matters with absolute professionalism.
About the Role
In this position, you will provide comprehensive executive support including:
- Complex diary and email management
- Drafting and preparing correspondence, reports, agendas and minutes
- Managing incoming communication and determining appropriate action
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including government, ratepayers and community groups
- Coordinating travel, events and civic functions
- Maintaining records and documentation within a document management system
- Managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Monitoring expenditure and managing purchasing in line with policy
About You
You will bring:
- Experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives
- High-level proficiency across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and thrive under pressure
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including dealing with challenging enquiries
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
- A relevant qualification (degree/diploma) OR substantial equivalent experience
- Valid right to work in Australia
- National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Pre-employment health declaration
