We are currently accepting applications for five hardworking and motivated HME (Heavy Mobile Equipment) Operators at our Gove Operations. This role offers a fantastic entry point into mining, with comprehensive on-the-job training provided — no previous experience required! What You’ll Do:
As an HME Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced mining environment. You will contribute to the smooth operations of our Gove Mine Site, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is maintained to optimal standards. This role is perfect for individuals eager to learn and develop a rewarding career in mining.
Required Skills:
- Valid ‘C’ class driver’s license (automatic and manual transmission)
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Commitment to safety and team collaboration
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- High level of responsibility and ownership over equipment
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to pass a medical and fitness assessment
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery (not mandatory but advantageous)
- Basic mechanical knowledge or maintenance skills
- Familiarity with mining or construction environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Resident of Gove with existing accommodation, as local residency is required
- Motivation to learn and grow within the mining sector
- Must reside in Gove or be able to secure accommodation in the area
- Availability to work on a rotating shift roster (4 days, 4 nights, 4 off)
