Role Details
- Start: ASAP
- Roster: 9-day fortnight
- Hours: 10-hour shifts
- Location: Yarwun Refinery (Residential – no FIFO)
Working within Rio Tinto Aluminium – Yarwun, you will support maintenance activities critical to plant reliability and safe operations. This role suits tradespeople who thrive in structured environments with established systems, strong safety culture, and clear expectations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain natural gas infrastructure and electrical systems in line with site standards
- Perform instrumentation calibration and preventative maintenance
- Work with PLC systems (including Allen Bradley), VSDs, and automated plant equipment
- Contribute to defect elimination and asset performance via RTBS
- Complete commissioning, testing, and post-maintenance housekeeping activities
- Electrical Trade Certificate (mandatory)
- Instrumentation qualification (highly regarded)
- Experience with gas assets (preferred)
- Working at Heights & Confined Space tickets (advantageous)
- Strong safety focus within heavy industry environments
- Ability to work within structured maintenance systems and procedures
- White Card, Forklift (FL), EWP, and heavy industry experience
