About the Role
Our client, Rio Tinto Aluminium – Boyne Smelters, is seeking experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians
to support ongoing maintenance activities across site operations. These positions play a key role in maintaining asset reliability and ensuring safe operation of electrical, instrumentation and natural gas systems. This opportunity suits tradespeople who value structured maintenance practices, established systems and a strong safety focused work environment within a large scale heavy industry setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain natural gas infrastructure and electrical systems in accordance with site standards
• Conduct instrument calibration and preventative maintenance tasks
• Work with PLC systems including Allen Bradley, variable speed drives and automated plant equipment
• Support defect elimination and provide asset performance feedback through RTBS
• Complete commissioning, testing and housekeeping activities following maintenance tasks
What We’re Looking For
• Electrical Trade Certificate
• Instrumentation certification highly regarded
• Experience maintaining gas assets preferred
• Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets advantageous
• Proven safety focus within heavy industry environments
• Ability to work within structured maintenance systems and procedures
