Customer Service Officer – Development Services Honeysuckle, Newcastle

Full-Time | Labour Hire (8-Month Contract)
Up to $48.74 /hr + GST

About the Role We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join a busy Development Services environment within the utilities sector.

This role combines customer service and technical administration. You will support customers with development and plumbing-related applications, ensuring accurate processing, timely outcomes, and a strong customer experience.

This is not a purely administrative role. It requires the ability to work with technical information and develop knowledge of development-related processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage development and plumbing-related customer enquiries
  • Process and assess customer applications with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support plan stamping and basic development requirements
  • Deliver customer service via phone, digital channels, and face-to-face interactions
  • Resolve customer issues and coordinate with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records across internal systems
  • Support continuous improvement in customer service and internal processes
About You
  • Experience in customer service, administration, or contact centre environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Willingness to learn technical concepts relating to development and plumbing
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to development, construction, utilities, or infrastructure environments
  • Ability to interpret basic building or site plans
  • Experience using CRM or enterprise systems such as TechOne or similar

  • Rate: Up to $48.75 /hr + GST (inclusive of all fees and charges)
