Are you an experienced Contract Specialist with a strong background in
mining operations? This Tier 1 mining organisation is seeking a motivated professional to support end‑to‑end contract management across a portfolio of key vendors. This is an initial 6‑month contract with real scope for extension based on performance and project demand.
About the Role Reporting into the Superintendent – Contract Management, you will provide specialist support across critical contracts, contractor performance frameworks and vendor engagement.
You will manage 5–6 active vendors, supporting operational, commercial and technical teams to ensure safe, efficient and commercially aligned outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage medium‑to‑high complexity contracts across resources development and operational environments.
- Drive contractor performance through analytics, governance frameworks and proactive performance monitoring.
- Support commercial strategies, contract planning cycles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with sourcing, renewal, and administration of contracts, ensuring alignment to business objectives and project timelines.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Planning, HSE, and Engineering stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, insights and recommendations to support contract decisions and vendor negotiations.
- Identify risks, resolve contract issues, and promote consistent contract management practices.
- Experience in contract management within the mining sector is essential.
- Exposure to drilling services or blue‑collar contractor workforces will be highly regarded.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret performance data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to influence at all levels.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple contract activities simultaneously.
