Exciting Opportunity: Experienced Charge-Up Operator Needed for Underground Mining Projects

As a Charge-Up Operator, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, efficient, and precise blasting operations that drive project success and contribute to industry-leading outcomes. What You’ll Do:
- Handle a variety of explosives and initiating systems, tailoring solutions based on drill pattern, rock type, and hole dimensions.
- Safely transport, load, and charge blast sites, including holes and drives, according to strict safety and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with Geologists, Engineers, and Shift Supervisors to optimize blast designs and ensure maximum efficiency.
- Charge and fire stopes following detailed blast plans, maintaining precision and safety standards.
- Perform loading, dumping, and general site maintenance, including road tidying to uphold a safe working environment.
- Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment through vigilant hazard identification and adherence to safety protocols.
- Proven experience as an Underground Charge-Up Operator in a mining environment.
- Extensive knowledge of using ANFO and emulsion explosives.
- Strong understanding of underground blast practices and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate safely and effectively within high-risk environments.
- Experience in remote or challenging underground mining conditions.
- Additional certifications related to explosives handling and safety.
- Familiarity with blast design software and site-specific protocols.
- Prior experience in underground mining operations.
- Relevant licenses and certifications, including a Shotfirer’s Licence and Explosives Security Licence.
- Current and valid Manual Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Valid National Police Clearance (within last 6 months).
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Hold all necessary qualifications, certificates, and licenses, including Working at Heights, Dangerous Goods Card, Explosives Security Licence, and ASIO Clearance (all valid within specified periods).
