Short Term Contract | Full‑Time | Malvern | $52 per hour
An opportunity is available for an experienced Business Support Officer to join a busy Waste Management Unit on a full‑time short term period, commencing ASAP through to 17 July 2026.
This role provides high‑quality administrative and project support, working closely with the Coordinator Waste Management and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of services and initiatives that impact both the organisation and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for administrative and business support matters within the Waste Management Unit
- Provide efficient, accurate and timely administrative and project support across the department
- Prepare correspondence, documents, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Support financial processes including purchasing, invoicing, receipting and journal entries
- Maintain accurate electronic filing, records and data in line with legislative and organisational requirements
- Assist with research, data collection and reporting to support informed decision‑making
- Deliver professional, customer‑focused service to internal stakeholders, contractors and community members
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and service delivery
- Extensive experience in administrative or business support roles within a legislative or regulated environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and relevant business systems
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills with the ability to use initiative, discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- $52 per hour + super
- Fixed‑term contract until 17 July 2026
- Full‑time hours
- Location: Malvern
- Immediate start preferred
