Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced and motivated Broiler Farm Manager to support broiler operations in the Tamworth region. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on ensuring strong production outcomes, excellent animal welfare, and full compliance with Baiada’s operational standards.

About the role
As the Broiler Farm Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day running of broiler sheds and farm operations, ensuring birds perform to target and that all practices meet company standards for welfare, biosecurity, safety, and quality. Your key responsibilities are:

Bird Husbandry & Production
• Ensure birds have constant access to feed, water, and appropriate temperature/ventilation
• Monitor bird health, welfare, and performance daily
• Conduct bird weightings, environmental checks, and ensure accurate documentation
• Manage chick receival, grow‑out processes, bird pick‑up, and cleanout to required standards
Farm Operations & Compliance
• Maintain strict biosecurity, WHS, environmental, and chain‑of‑responsibility standards
• Ensure accurate reporting, audits, and timely follow‑up of corrective actions
• Uphold Baiada’s Minimum Operating Standards and Quality Systems
• Oversee shed hygiene, maintenance schedules, and equipment functionality
Leadership & Training
• Lead, train, and supervise farm staff and contractors
• Work closely with growers, livestock teams, veterinarians, and management
• Provide support and operational guidance as required
Continuous Improvement
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly
• Drive improvements across welfare, efficiency, and production performance
• Support sustainability and environmental performance programs
Safety & Biosecurity
• Promote a strong safety culture and participate in investigations when required
• Follow all quarantine protocols (strictly no poultry, birds, or pigs at home)

About you
You are hands‑on, reliable, and passionate about high‑quality poultry production.
You will bring:

• Minimum one year of broiler or livestock management experience
• Strong animal husbandry skills (poultry preferred)
• Leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
• Knowledge of WHS, biosecurity, welfare, and quality systems
• Full Australian working rights
• Current driver’s licence (tractor skills desirable)
• Willingness to undergo medical and police checks
• Certificate III in Poultry Production or higher agricultural qualification desirable
