Melbourne | Full-Time | Leadership Opportunity
Are you a Senior Civil Engineer ready for Associate?
Or an existing Associate looking for clearer progression and greater influence?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering consultancy with a strong reputation across commercial, residential and infrastructure projects. Due to sustained growth and forward succession planning, they’re seeking an Associate Engineer (Civil) to join their Melbourne team.
This is a genuine step-up opportunity — not just a title change.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Director, you will:
- Lead medium to large-scale civil projects from concept to completion
- Manage project budgets, resourcing and delivery outcomes
- Prepare fee proposals, tenders and technical documentation
- Oversee and mentor engineers, drafters and graduates
- Build and strengthen client relationships
- Contribute to discipline strategy and business growth
- Ensure quality, compliance and commercial performance
About You
You will likely have:
- 8+ years’ civil engineering experience within a consulting environment
- Chartered status (CPEng) and Engineers Australia membership
- Strong design and project management capability
- Experience managing clients and project financials
- A proactive leadership style and mentoring mindset
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
Why Consider This Move?
- Clear pathway to Principal / Director
- Transparent performance and progression framework
- Strong pipeline of repeat clients
- Leadership influence without corporate red tape
- Supportive executive team
- Competitive salary package
The Opportunity
If you’re motivated by leadership, ownership and building something long-term — not just delivering projects — this could be the right move.
