Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Organisational Design Specialist to join their team on a full-time temporary contract until December 2026. This role is pivotal in shaping organisational structures that align with strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage organisational design projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide expert advice on organisational design functions, including workforce planning, change management, and role evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain core role statements within established frameworks.
  • Support workforce planning by analysing current and future needs and recommending structural changes.
  • Deliver specialist advice on Professional and Legal Officer requests, broadbanding, and role evaluations.
  • Conduct organisational assessments and recommend improvements.
  • Complete role evaluation assessments for APS roles.
  • Engage with stakeholders and participate in Communities of Practice to share knowledge and best practices.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong analytical skills to assess organisational structures and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing organisational design projects.
  • Expertise in change management strategies and implementation.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning processes and organisational design methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or related field.
  • Certifications in project management and/or change management.
  • Previous experience in organisational design within government or large organisations
