About the Role The Security Advisor will support the delivery of pre-employment screening activities, including the assessment, analysis, and reporting of suitability information. The role requires close engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure screening outcomes are completed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with relevant policy frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and support pre-employment screening and organisational suitability assessments
- Collate, analyse, and assess sensitive information to inform suitability outcomes
- Prepare clear, accurate, and high-quality written reports
- Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant security policies and standards
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
- Demonstrated ability to collate and analyse information to produce high-quality reports
- Experience or working knowledge of:
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Australian Government Personnel Security Adjudicative Standard
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Hold or be willing to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance
- Successfully complete and maintain an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) as part of the pre-employment screening process
