Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an Optimisation Administration Officer to support road network operations and optimisation activities across Queensland. Working alongside engineers and technical professionals, you will contribute to improving traffic flow, safety, and overall network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support optimisation of the road network through traffic signals, smart motorways, and related initiatives
- Assist with dynamic traffic engineering to inform decisions and implementation
- Contribute to proactive and reactive network optimisation during planned and unplanned incidents
- Support delivery of optimisation initiatives and projects
- Assist in integrating optimisation solutions into infrastructure planning across government projects
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and technical governance frameworks
About You
- Interest in traffic systems, signal operations, and transport technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills, including analysis, solution development, and monitoring outcomes
- Ability to support technical teams and contribute to operational improvements
- Effective communication skills, including handling public enquiries (written and phone)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
