Temporary Contract | Eastern Suburbs | Local Government
An opportunity is available for an experienced Administration Officer to join a busy City Planning & Building department within local government. This role is well suited to someone confident managing high‑volume customer enquiries and detailed administrative tasks in a structured, regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality customer service in a high‑volume call centre environment
- Respond to planning and building enquiries from the public and stakeholders
- Process property information, building search certificates and permit data
- Manage file recall, records and documentation using TRIM and Pathway
- Maintain accurate data across council systems including Intramaps
- Provide general administrative support to Planning and Building teams
- Demonstrated administration and customer service experience in a call centre setting
- Previous experience in local government or planning/building environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using TRIM, Pathway, Intramaps and Microsoft Office
- Professional communicator with a strong customer service focus
- Location: Eastern suburbs
- Hours: 34.2 hours per week, 8:25am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Late April to 30 June 2026
- Rate: $37.35 per hour (PAYG)
- Dress Code: Business casual
