Join a high‑performing finance team as the Accounts Payable Team Leader, overseeing end‑to‑end AP operations within a busy, complex organisation. This role is ideal for a confident AP professional with leadership experience who can drive efficiency, accuracy and strong financial governance.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices and payments, while supporting continuous improvements across financial operations. You’ll also provide advice to internal stakeholders, maintain high standards of financial probity, and contribute to the organisation’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate payment of creditors
- Provide guidance to internal customers on processes, policies and finance procedures
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing AP and AR processes
- Apply judgement and autonomy to resolve complex financial queries
- Maintain strong compliance standards, including GST accuracy
- Supervise and support a small finance team to meet deadlines and changing priorities
- Extensive experience leading high‑volume accounts payable functions
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and GST requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- High attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to mentor, guide and motivate team members
- Experience with TechOne highly regarded
- Accounting qualifications desirable
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

- TechOne (highly desirable)
- Strong customer service and communication
- Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
