Orica operates on a large number of mining sites in regional and remote locations. Through digital and automated technologies, Orica continues to transform the drill and blast process to increase safety and productivity in mining.

Every day we embrace new ways of thinking and work closely together to deliver innovative technologies. The services provided by Orica will vary for each mine site and may change over time.

  • Trainee MCU Operator

  • Trainee MMU Operator

  • Magazine Keeper

  • Shotfirer

  • Blast Crew

  • MMU Operator

  • MCU Operator

  • Shotfirer / Surveyor

  • Technician – Field Support

  • Fitters

  • Auto Electricians

  • Hypercharge Operators

  • Technician on Bench (MMU/Shotfirer)

  • Bench Assistant

  • RCP Operator

  • Sprint Operator

* Positions may be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) basis or Residential.

Further information

For most roles, we look for the following essential requirements, but as each role (in each state) may differ we ask you to closely review the minimum requirements.

  • A manual Heavy Rigid Vehicle Licence

  • Must be able to obtain a Dangerous goods license and security card

  • Strong commitment to safety

  • Proven experience within a mechanical environment or a similar industry preferred

  • The ability to work autonomously and be part of a high performing team
