Available Roles

Leasing Officer - Property Services

Location: Kedron, Brisbane

Property Services leads the departments property acquisitions, disposals, lease management, accommodation planning, and development approvals functions, including ministerial designations.

Reporting to the Senior Leasing Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of property and leasing services in the development and review of leasing arrangements where QFES can be the lessee or lessor, including accommodation gap analysis and investigations; resolution of leasing disputes and make good scenarios; investigations and resolution of lease tenure matters, and due diligence activities to support Property Services in the successful delivery of ongoing and special purpose programs of work to meet organisational accommodation and requirements.

Highly desirable requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in property management and negotiation, leasing transactions and/or organisational accommodation management.

  • SAP training and/or experience using financial or procurement management systems

  • Minimum C Class Driver’s Licence (non-restricted).

Senior Program Officer - Capital Works

Location: Kedron, Brisbane

The Capital Works team leads and facilitates the annual programming and scheduling of allocated projects and related activities to ensure delivery of the department’s statewide capital, medium and minor works program. The team contributes to the strategic planning, evaluation and interpretation of relevant legislation and standards to ensure QFES meets whole-of-government building and accommodation requirements, and provides specialist building and construction advice to ensure best value capital investment is realised, and best practice asset management optimises the useful life of QFES built asset portfolio.

Reporting to the Principal Program Officer, you will be responsible to lead, coordinate and support the successful delivery of multiple capital and minor works projects and maintenance programs using effective project management processes and in line with commercial best practice. You will participate in the team’s annual project programming and ensure programs of works are scheduled appropriately using effective project management processes, so they are on delivered on budget, on time and in line with the commercial best practice. Collaborating with team members and key stakeholders you will review, interpret and evaluate requirements, including managing governance compliance reporting to ensure project deliverables meet service delivery outcomes.

Highly desirable requirements

  • Experience, knowledge and/or qualifications in project management or another discipline relevant to the building and construction industry.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in the building industry, including the ability to review and evaluate tenders and estimates.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in effectively managing and completing complex and diverse projects, and managing end-to-end delivery of statewide capital works and maintenance programs.
