Wellbeing, Social, and Emotional Counselor Location: Sydney CBD
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite

Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious organization for a Wellbeing, Social, and Emotional Counselor. This unique opportunity is based in Sydney CBD and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of sponsored students by providing social and emotional support.

About the Role As a Wellbeing, Social, and Emotional Counselor, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the social and emotional welfare of regional office-sponsored students. You will lead counseling efforts, deliver emotional support, and collaborate with various stakeholders to promote a holistic culture of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and counseling to students on social and emotional matters.
  • Lead wellbeing and intervention programs to address cultural adjustment, homesickness, or stress.
  • Coordinate with Frontline Advisors, embassies, and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Develop and conduct workshops on wellbeing, resilience, and mindfulness.
  • Respond to mental health crises and safety concerns with appropriate intervention.
  • Monitor and evaluate wellbeing practices while offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Relevant certification in counseling or emotional support services.
  • Proven experience in student counseling, education, or wellbeing programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
