Warehouse Assistant – Full-Time Permanent Location: Morningside, QLD
Pay Rate:$26 per hour
Shift: Day Shift

About the role
Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Warehouse Assistant to support the delivery of their food program in a hands-on role that contributes to reducing food waste and assisting communities in need. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the timely completion of day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of food donations and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Model a safety-first approach and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace
• Operate equipment and vehicles only when trained/licensed
• Conduct daily forklift pre-start checks
• Receive and unload donations and deliveries safely, ensuring capacities are not exceeded
• Manage food volumes and stock flows to minimise waste
• Sort, store, and pack donations
• Pick and prepare orders for collection and delivery
• Maintain food safety standards and a presentable warehouse
• Provide excellent service to agencies and donors
• Assist with driving duties as required
• Attend team meetings and complete training

What We’re Looking For

• Current LF Forklift Licence 
• Previous warehouse experience in a high-volume environment
• Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
• Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
