Fixed Term to 15 May 2026 | Hybrid (Melbourne CBD + WFH)

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Impact Assessor to lead environmental impact assessments for major projects across Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in complex regulatory environments and enjoys working with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  What you’ll be doing As the Senior Impact Assessor, you will:

• Lead project management of EIA processes for major and complex proposals
• Provide expert advice on environmental impact assessment requirements and approvals
• Prepare high‑quality reports, briefs and recommendations for decision‑makers
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including technical experts, agencies and community groups
• Identify risks, barriers and solutions throughout the assessment process
• Help improve systems, processes and assessment frameworks
• Work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering priority projects

What you’ll bring To be successful, you will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification (environmental science, planning, ecology, environmental engineering, or similar)
• Demonstrated technical expertise in EIA and environmental approvals
• Proven experience managing complex statutory assessment processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• The ability to balance competing priorities and deliver under deadlines
• A current driver’s licence
